16 SWAT officers from Orange County Sheriff’s Department were hospitalized after an explosion during a training exercise in California. The incident occurred during a training session with the sheriff’s bomb squad in Irvine, where one officer required surgery for a leg injury and two others sustained superficial wounds.
The remaining 13 officers experienced symptoms such as dizziness and ringing in their ears. The cause of the explosion is not immediately clear, but the FBI Special Agent Jerry Crowe Regional Tactical Training Facility was involved in the incident.
